Incontsisttencies or "spines" present in inferior graphite shafts can lead to axes of enhanced or reduced stiffness. When an inconsistent shaft is rotated in an adjustable driver differences in feel and performance can negate or exaggerate procision adjustments. The JDL is Miyazaki's second-generation Quad Orthogonal Bias Technology design. By strategically orienting the origination and termination axes for each layer of carbon fiber the spine effect is effectively eliminated. Already proven in Tour testing the balanced International FLEX Code of the JDL series in engineered to produced a stable mid trajectory with a smooth feel. A slightly more active tip section produces increased ball speed without excessive spin rates.
